Essay on ISRAEL-PALESTINE ISSSUE - Shershah Khan

In this essay I shall discuss the Israel-Palestine conflict, its history and current

events. With regards to history, I shall talk about how this issue was created and

how this issue has been seen by Zionists in the past. I shall also discuss what were

the general perception and motives of these European Zionists, who wanted a

Jewish homeland in Palestine. I shall also discuss the terms Zionism and Judaism.

Lastly, I will mention what the International legal authorities and community has

to say about the issue of Israel-Palestine.

Shortly, the purpose of this essay is to prove that Israel is based on a racist

extremist ideology and its very existence is a threat to not only the native

Palestinians, but also to any ‘inferior non-white’ race in the world. Along with that

Israel is also an imminent threat to the global world.

At the beginning of this month (i.e., May 2021) the Israeli govt. forcedly evicted

13 Palestinians families from their homes in Sheikh Jarra, East Jerusalem. Israeli

soldiers stormed inside the Al-Aqsa mosque and the houses of native Palestinians.

Israel solider have been firing ‘steel’ bullets covered with rubber on unarmed

innocent Palestinians mostly including kids and women (50% of population of

Gaza is kids).

This occupation of lands by Israelis which has been going on for many decades has

been recognized by all international legal authorities and organizations like the

UN, Security Council, Amnesty International and even Israel’s top legal authorities

as “illegal” and “violating the international laws and human rights”.

HISTORY OF RACISM AND ADVOCATION OF GENOCIDE BY

ZIONISTS & ISRAELI GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS

The genocide of Palestinians which has been going on for over a hundred years

now, since the European colonial Zionists, aided by the British, took over the

lands from the native Palestinians.

But why is it so that Israel govt. has been committing such horrific crimes, as we

are seeing right now at the moment?

The answer for that is as such: The very idea of a Jewish state, put forward by the

father of Zionism Theodor Herzl in 1897, is deeply embedded in racism.

Many famous European Zionist thinkers, even the 1 st President of Israel have said

some very nasty, racist and genocidal statements. Here are few:

The first President of Israel, David Ben Gurion said,

“If we want Hebrew redemption 100%, we must have a 100% Hebrew

settlement, 100% Hebrew farm, and 100% Hebrew port.”

With regards to African Jews he said,

“Even the immigrant of North Africa, who looks like a savage, who has

never rad a book in his life, not even a religious one, and doesn’t even

know how to say his prayers, either wittingly or unwittingly has

behind him a spiritual heritage of thousands of years.”

Ben Gurion also believed that European Jews should get paid more than Oriental

or Arab Jews, as the Europeans were supposedly more intelligent race. This idea is

central to the Zionist ideology of ‘Avodah Ivrit’, which promotes exclusive Jewish

labour in Jewish businesses. These ideas have been useful for the establishment

of a Jewish state.

VLADMIR JABOTINSKY was a famous Russian Zionist thinker who published an

essay called, “The Iron Wall” in 1923. He believed that Israel should literally be

built on the guise of an Iron Wall. He made parallels to European conquest of

North America and the genocide of the native population. He said that the

Zionists should do the same to Palestinians without expectation of ever reaching

peace or some sort of an agreement.

“There can be no voluntary agreement between ourselves and the

Palestine Arabs. Not now, nor in the prospective future. “

He also said,

“Colonization can only have one aim, and Palestine Arabs cannot

accept this aim. It lies in the very nature of things, and in this

particular regard, nature cannot be changed.”

With regards to Palestinians he said,

“Culturally they [Arabs] are five hundred years behind us, they have

neither our endurance nor our determination;”

He also believed that the goal of Zionism should be achieved by treachery and

lies,

“We may tell them whatever we like about our innocence of our aims,

watering them down and sweetening them with honeyed words to

make them palatable, but they know what we want as well as we

know what they do not want.”

He also said,

“There can be no voluntary agreement between ourselves and the

Palestine Arabs. Not now, nor in the prospective future. I say this

with such conviction, not because I want to hurt the moderate

Zionists. I do not believe that they will be hurt. Except for those who

were born blind, they realized long ago that it is utterly impossible to

obtain the voluntary consent of the Palestine Arabs for converting

"Palestine" from an Arab country into a country with a Jewish

majority.”

JOBTINSKY idea of Iron Wall is actually manifested in Israel.

AHAD HA’AM another famous and prominent Zionist thinker. In 1891, he wrote

“The Truth from Palestine” in which he said,

“[The Jewish settlers] treat the Arabs with hostility and cruelty,

trespass unjustly, beat them shamelessly for no sufficient reason, and

even take pride in doing so.”

Nothing has changed since the time of Ahad. Palestinian children, women and old

people are being shot dead in broad daylight. Their houses are being bombed.

They are being detained and humiliated in front of the world.

JUDAISM & ZIONISM

We have to make an important distinction here. Zionism is not Judaism. Zionism

actually goes against the foundation values of Judaism. In Judaism, it is said that

Jews cannot have a state or homeland for themselves until the second coming of

the Messiah. Zionism, on the other hand advocates for a Jewish state. But not just

Jewish state. Only a state for ‘white European Jews’.

Zionists, throughout history have been racists against black and brown Jews as

well.

So, Zionism has nothing to do with Judaism. This is why it is extremely important

to know that when one criticizes Israel, he is not criticizing Jews or Judaism. But

rather, he is criticizing the racist and supremacist Zionist political movement and

ideology upon which the state of Israel was established.

Zionism is embedded in Israel’s very existence. Theodor Herzl is mentioned by

name in Israel Declaration of Independence in 1948. Therefore, criticizing Israel

is criticizing the racist and political movement which has and still is, committing

genocide against poor Muslims and Christian population in Palestine.

Theodor Herzl himself claimed,

“The Anti-Semite will become our most loyal friends. The Anti-Semite

nations will become our allies.”

It was on the basis of this racist extremist ideology that Israel has committed

genocide of Palestinians time and time again. It is still happening now, as we

speak. Thousands of Arabs have been killed by Israel Defense Force (IDF) and

Israel’s government.

Genocidal statements have been made even today by Israeli officials;

“There are no innocent people in Gaza to justify the killing.”

- Avigdor Lieberman. Former Israeli Defense Minister

"If a child or anyone else gets close to the fence his punishment is death.”

General Zvika Vogel, former head of Southern Command.

DISCRIMINATION AGAINST PALESTINIANS TODAY

There are many (up to 50) discriminatory laws in Israel which are discriminatory

against Palestinians living in Israel. Also when it comes to revoking the residency

of native Palestinians. For instance, if you are a Palestinian in East Jerusalem, then

you are subject to 3 legal criteria that can revoke your residency.

1) Palestinian should not live more than 7 years abroad, and must not receive

permanent residency from another country. (1967)

2) Palestinians need to prove that their center of life is in Jerusalem. (1995)

3) Palestinian should not breach allegiance to Israel. (2006)

These inherent discriminatory and racist laws exist to make sure that

Palestinians are finally thrown out of their homes and the entire area of what

used to be called Palestine becomes a Jewish state of Israel.

Israel already has revoked the residency of 14,500 Palestinians from their homes

since 1967. Along with that hundreds and thousands of Palestinians have been

displaced and 5.6 million are registered as refugees in The United Nations Relief

and Works Agency (UNRWA), who are stripped of their basic rights to return to

their ancestral homeland.

Once we understand the ideology upon which Israel’s very existence is based.

Things starts to make sense. Zionism as an ideology is racist and advocates for the

ethnic cleansing of not only Muslims per se, but even Christian Arabs, Jewish

Arabs, Jewish Africans, basically any ethnicity or race or a community of any

religion. The only worthy community that has the honor and dignity to live in the

holy land are the “white European Jews”.

INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY

The verdict of International legal authorities is quite surprising. It is one of those

rare cases when every single international legal authority, for instance, the UN,

Security Council, International Criminal Court, the Human Rights Watch, Amnesty

International and even Israel’s top legal authorities have unanimously agreed that

Israel occupation of the East Jerusalem is illegal and violates the human rights.

Israel has also been proven guilty of committing war crimes.

There is no debate here. No dispute, whatsoever. None. Therefore, I don’t feel

the need to explain it any further, since there is no conflict of opinion. However, I

would mention the UN resolution which was passed against Israel, condemning its

war crimes and annexation of lands.

United Nations Security Council Resolution [497] states:

“1. Condemns Israel's continued occupation of the Palestinian and

other Arab territories, including Jerusalem, in violation of the Charter

of the United Nations, the principles of international law and the

relevant resolutions of the United Nations, and demands the

immediate, unconditional and total withdrawal of Israel from all these

occupied territories;”

“6. Deplores Israel's failure to comply with Security Council resolutions

476 (1980) of 30 June 1980 and 478 (1980) of 20 August 1980 and

General Assembly A/RES/35/207 of 16 December 1980, determines

that Israel's decision to annex Jerusalem and to declare it as its

"capital", as well as the measures to alter its physical character,

demographic composition, institutional structure and status, are null

and void and demands that they be rescinded immediately, and calls

upon all Member States, specialized agencies and all other

international organizations to abide by the present resolution and all

other relevant resolutions, including General Assembly resolution

36/120 E;”

7. Condemns Israel's aggression and practices against the Palestinian

people in the occupied Palestinian territories and outside these

territories, particularly in the Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon,

including the expropriation and annexation of territory, the

establishment of settlements, assassination attempts and other

terrorist, aggressive and repressive measures, which are in violation

of the Charter and the principles of international law and the

pertinent international conventions;”

“9. Strongly condemns the Israeli aggression against Lebanon and the

continuous bombardment and destruction of its cities and villages[...]”

“11. Deplores Israeli violations of the air space of various Arab

countries and demands their immediate cessation;”

HYPOCRISY OF THE STATE OF ISRAEL

If Israel wants the world to recognize it as a legitimate state because of 1948 UN

resolution, then Israel should also recognize that the same UN and countless

other international organizations have accused Israel of genocide, war crimes,

bombing civilian places, hospitals and schools.

No wonder the Israeli govt. hasn’t allowed any transparent international

investigation.

Israel has also been involved in invasion and operation against neighboring Arab

countries every single time. The illegal state of Israel has accused Iran to be a

global threat for testing nuclear weapons. The hypocrisy is that according to

international reports Israel itself has 80-400 nuclear weapons.

When the former Deputy foreign minister of Israel Daniel Ayalon was asked by

Mehdi Hasan on his show “Head to Head” about the nuclear weapons that Israel

has.

Daniel’s reply, “Yeah so what? So, what if Israel has nuclear weapons?

KILLING OF JOURNALISTS & PARAMEDICS BY ISRAELI SNIPERS

Not only are the Palestinian kids and women branded as terrorists and then killed

but even paramedic and journalists are being killed.

Raza al Najjar, a 21 years old paramedic was shot in the chest, while wearing a

white uniform by an IDF soldier.

Yasir Murtaja, a 30 years old Palestinian journalist was shot in the stomach by an

Israeli sniper.

Muhammad Ibrahim, a 14 years old shot in the head by an IDF soldier.

There are countless other innocent people who were being shot and killed by the

IDF soldiers. Many are counting as we speak.

Why Peru needs a Trans Law

In Peru, individuals part of the LGBTQ community have historically been discriminated against by society and the State. Despite few initiatives, the Peruvian State has not established clear policies to combat prejudice and stereotypes that generate violence, discrimination, and vulnerability for this community. Within this group, the transgender population is in a particularly vulnerable situation, as they do not have an identity document that reflects the gender with which they identify. The lack of this document denies them the possibility of opting for the work they wish to do. Without an identity document, access to essential services such as health, education, housing, and security is almost non-existent. They cannot fully identify themselves to the institution in charge, receiving numerous signs of stigmatization from public officials, authorities, and society in general. Without identity, their dignity is also diminished since they are exposed to public scorn for not identifying...

LETTER : Poet Detained for One Year Without Charge (Sri Lanka: UA 54.21)

Dear Mr Wickramaratne, I am deeply worried about the situation of Sri Lankan poet and teacher Ahnaf Jazeem, who has been detained without charge since May 16, 2020 by the authorities. It is distressing to know that a year has passed, and no credible, admissible evidence of wrongdoing has ever been presented before a court. The draconian Prevention Terrorist Act (PTA) under which Ahnaf is arrested, allows authorities to arbitrarily detain individuals without any charges for up to 18 months without charge or trial. I find it alarming that he has been denied due process and fair trial rights, including unrestricted access to his lawyers and his family. Ahnaf’s legal counsel states that he has been coerced to make false confessions while under interrogation and has been made to sign documents written in a language he does not understand. These are all clear violations of rights guaranteed by the Constitution of Sri Lanka and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, to whic...
